Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is reportedly planning to make a u-turn on his decision to take Aston Villa job. The French man has been heavily linked to replace Steve Bruce at the Villa Park after the 57-year-old was sacked last week over poor run of results.
Henry was part of the Belgium technical crew that won bronze medal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament staged in Russia.
According to the Sun, former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp believes the Championship side are set to make John Terry their new substantial manager as against the assistant role they initially wanted to give him.
The ex-Spurs manager was with Terry at the Legends of Football event in London for Nordoff Robbins. Redknapp told talkSPORT: “I don’t think that (Henry) is happening. Not from what I’ve heard. “I think John wants to get into management, he’s seen what Frank Lampard has done at Derby and I think he’d love a chance.”
Henry has however returned to Belgium ahead of their UEFA Nations League encounter this weekend. The 41-year-old was close to joining French League side Bordeaux earlier this summer until both sides failed to reach agreement.
